BOGBEAN

Menyanthes trifoliata

BOGBEAN

The lake laps at the ooze
In the far corner edged with willows.
Here grows the bogbean:
Three sails for leaves and almost unseen
Beside them the spill
Of pink-white hairs from milk-white petals.

Wonderful! A plant I've never seen.
